M19 Automatic Mortar Bunker

Festung Guernsey began excavating the M19 bunker which lies below the car park of Fort Hommet in 2010. A large amount of backfill was removed from the site, and the area graded down to form a gentle slope to the entrance of the bunker. Ongoing restoration work on salvaged parts of the wepon continue, once complete it will be one of only a small number of originals available to view along the Atlantic Wall.
