The Type 676 Anti-Tank Gun Bunker

This small bunker formed part of a small resistance nest defending the eastern end of Pembroke Bay. Consisting of a single room to house the gun, and rear entrance lobby.

The gun was a captured Czech 4cm kanón vz. 36, redesignated the 4.7cm Pak 36 (t) by the Germans. A very capable weapon taken from the Czech fortifications in large numbers and installed into special designed bunkers. The Germans added a 100mm thick armoured shield on the outside that could be raised and lowered via a winch system from inside the bunker.
